Family Emergency Preparedness, Part 1 (Self-led DE-TRAIN)

May 17, 2021 to May 30, 2021
Every day
12:00 am

statewide, virtual, Delaware

Family Emergency Preparedness Training will be available online to DMRC volunteers from Monday, May 17 to Sunday, May 30 (2-week period) on DE-TRAIN. The second part of this hybrid training is virtual, with two date options for Part 2 (only one of the Part 2 dates is required to successfully complete the training).

Now is a good time to think about the basic items you and your family need to have on hand in an emergency. What supplies do you need to keep in your home, car or office? How will you communicate with your family? The more you know about what to do in an emergency, the more confident and secure you will feel if an emergency situation arises.

This course is divided into two parts:

  • Part 1: Family Emergency Preparedness Online Training: Complete the course between Monday, May 17 to Sunday, May 30 (2-week period).
  • Part 2: Question and Answer Sessions via Zoom (you will be sent information about the Zoom sessions after the two-week course window closes). You must complete the course to attend one of the Zoom sessions listed below. Please make sure your email address on your DE-TRAIN account is correct.

Thursday, June 3: 6:00 – 7:00 pm  OR  Wednesday, June 9: 1:00 – 2:00 pm

Training details and directions to access via DE-TRAIN are attached. To set up a DE TRAIN account click here.
